zfit is a library for model fitting in pure python based on TensorFlow, a modern computing framework with a declarative, graph-based approach. zfit combines low level interaction to build custom models as well as high level interfaces. A well defined formalization of the workflow into model building, data loading, loss creation, minimization process and error estimation and their implementation is described.
